Back Country Containers provides beautiful container homes such as the Modern Farmhouse. Jon Meier founded Back Country Containers out of his interest in tiny houses. The ability of engineers to create innovative solutions is well-known. He knew that he would make a living out of this when he constructed his 20-foot container house. His wife Kristen, a talented decorator, and some members of his family helped him with the construction. Together, they have built a business that is successful in building shipping containers homes. Many small container houses have been built by them, including the Modern Farmhouse shown here and Rustic retreat. Modern Retreat shown in this picture is a 1,100-square-foot home that is large enough to accommodate a whole family. This would make an excellent vacation home or cottage on a lake. It looks beautiful from the exterior. This home appears to be a mix between a standard house and container. On the sides and front, you can clearly see the shipping containers and their metal doors. It was painted in a dark color to stand out. The container also has some colors that are standard for shipping containers.

Front entrance under peaked roof. The country house wouldn’t be complete without a rocking chair and deck. French doors at the front of the home open to reveal a large deck. A small window is on each side. It has three bedrooms: a master suite, a guest bedroom and a bunk room. There are also 2 bathrooms. There is plenty of space in the open kitchen, which has all-size appliances and counters. The kitchen also has a bar-style island. Directly in front of cooking is the living room, which has a cozy and comfortable seating arrangement. It includes a couch, chair, and ottoman. It was a clever combination of features, which you probably wouldn’t think to use to achieve a rustic yet chic feel in the home. In one of the bathrooms, an antique dresser was painted bright green and turned into a vanity. The house feels like a work of art with these little details. There is also a large free-standing tub in the second bathroom that can be used for long soaks.

They have also styled the bedrooms with stylish and colorful bedding, while the bunk beds look really comfortable. These container homes are built with 40-foot or 20-foot shipping containers. Each project is designed to meet the needs of each client. The container homes are all unique, and reflect the personalities of their customers. Although they are mostly based in Texas, they are willing to build container houses anywhere. Although they prefer to construct smaller houses, they can also build larger containers. Building a home is made possible by using shipping containers as the building blocks. The shipping container home can be tailored to any size or style, no matter if it’s 500 or 2,000 sq. ft.
